Three weeks of advance voting starts Monday on a $110 million SPLOST package and seats on the Rome and Cave Spring governing boards.

All Floyd County residents registered by Oct. 10 can weigh in on the special purpose, local option sales tax package. Those who live within the city limits of Rome will also see six city commission posts on their ballots. Cave Spring residents will also chose two council members.

Early in-person voting runs through Nov. 3 but those casting absentee ballots have a smaller window than they’ve had in the past. A new Georgia law sets Oct. 27 as the deadline to request an absentee ballot from their elections office. They must be returned by the time polls close on election day.
